The Qualification in Internal Audit leadership is integrated with Chartered Internal Auditor status. Members who are currently studying to become chartered will already be registered on the QIAL qualification.
If you hold the CIA, and you want to gain the QIAL, the next step is to become a Chartered Internal Auditor. You'll do this by passing three case study exams and completing a professional experience journal. Once you've passed the exams, you can then do the presentation/interview assessment to gain the QIAL.
If you have recently passed the case study exams, or accepted them through the qualification transition arrangements, then you are already registered on the QIAL. You can now go on to complete the presentation and panel interview task by logging into IIA Global's candidate certification system and registering to take this assessment. You must do this within four years of first registering for the qualification.
