Transition to the new CMIIA study route

How to transition

You must complete this form if you would like to transition your registration to the CMIIA study route.

If you intend on sitting the transition examinations in January 2022, then you must complete this form before Friday 8 October.

You must also complete this form if you wish to enrol on any of the study programmes starting in March 2022.

Upon submitting this form, you will become registered on the new study route to Chartered. Any QIAL Case Studies that you have completed will be automatically applied as exemptions and you will receive an email to confirm this.

Your confirmation email will also include a link that you can use to register for the transition exams. This will include the support you need to prepare for the exam. The support will comprise ofan orientation workshop with a tutor (to understand the requirements of exam), access to online study materials, a revision workshop, and your online exam.

Completing this form only registers you on the CMIIA route and does not automatically register you for the exam as well.

Once you are registered on the new route to Chartered, you will have three years to complete your qualification and be awarded CMIIA status

You can still continue with the QIAL route and you will remain registered against the QIAL until you finish the qualification or your six-year time limit expires. Any payments or exam bookings that you have made to IIA Global for the QIAL Case Study exams will not be affected, and you remain liable to IIA Global as per the terms and conditions you agreed to.

Please allow ten working days for us to process your registration transition.
