CIA Part 1 vs IAP
Currently students can take the CIA Part 1 as a standalone paper and gain the IAP designation. This route is utilised mainly by the Level 4 Internal Audit Practitioner route.
All candidates enrolled on the current CIA Part 1 IAP can sit the Part 1 exam before 1 March 2020. After 1 March 2020 the new IAP will become examinable.
This doesn’t impact on the CIA Part 1 exam for students registered on the full CIA qualification.
