CIA Challenge Exam
The CIA Challenge Exam is fast-track route for qualified accountants to complete the highly respected Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) qualification. This route is available only to members of qualified accounting bodies and covers all areas of the CIA qualification (Parts 1, 2 and 3). It therefore includes content not currently covered by your local accounting exam. The CIA Challenge Exam is delivered by IIA Global.
Candidates doing the CIA Challenge Exam are required to sit one exam to earn CIA designation.

Programme timeline
The CIA Challenge Exam application window runs from August to September 2021.
Once you have registered for the exam, you will have a 180-day window to schedule and sit your exam. The next available testing windows will run in November 2021 and January 2022, and we have put together some bespoke CIA Challenge Exam masterclasses to help you prepare for your exam.

Eligibility
Candidates applying for the CIA Challenge Exam must be current members of one of the following qualified accounting bodies (former members and students are ineligible):
- Association of International Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)
- Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
- Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ)
- Chartered Accountants Ireland Institute
- Chartered Professional Accountants Canada (CPA Canada)
- CPA Australia
- Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA)
- Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland (CPA Ireland)
- Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI)
- Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW)
- Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI)
- Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS)
- Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA)
- Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA)
