Community hub
The community hub is a coming together of all our community-focused endeavours. An entry point to the numerous activities and sources of information emanating from our various regular interactions with members. Here delivered in a variety of different formats, from virtual forums catering to heads of internal audit and internal auditors in local authorities, to a Data Analytics Working Group managed through Microsoft Teams. Also featured are our Talk to Internal Audit live streams, specialist interest groups and regional committees.
Our community hub is open to all (members and non-members) and draws on learnings from our members in the COVID-19 period – where a need was identified for a community space facilitating more sharing and working together. Our community hub is here to meet that demand.
Virtual forums
Our virtual forums provide an open environment to share knowledge and experience, air concerns and support each other under Chatham House rules. We currently run two forums: one for heads of internal audit and another for internal auditors in local authorities.
Live streams
Our principal live stream, Talk to Internal Audit, is a regular CPE accredited video discussion that runs on our Facebook channel, with follow-up content on YouTube. It is led by various in-house presenters and features contributions from an array of subject matter experts.
Special interest groups
As well as technical guidance, courses and events, we offer various special interest groups for members to get involved in, based on where you work, where you live and what you’re interested in.
Regional network
We have nine regions in the UK and Ireland, each with its own committee, who organise courses, seminars and local events. Each committee is backed by a chair and a secretary, who work collaboratively with other members to raise the profile of internal audit in their respective regions.
Audit Leaders
Audit Leaders is a Chartered IIA subscription service and a dedicated space, offering audit leaders a community of their own. A platform through which to grow, develop and form powerful partnerships with management and the board.
